Tallahassee Pre-School and After School Center believes that children learn through play, social, physical and emotional development. We believe in fostering active learning, multiculturalism, integration, creativity, independence and parent involvement through providing experiences for positive interaction between children, staff, parents and the community.

Tallahassee Pre-School and After School Centre is a facility whose trained professionals are committed to provide a nurturing, stimulating environment with high quality care services for families in the community. Tallahassee Pre-School provides programs for children between three and five years of age.

Programs & Activities for
Tallahassee Pre-School

There are two different programs offered. The three day programs runs for two and a half hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This program is recommended for children going to school the following year. The two day program also runs for two and a half hours, but on Tuesday and Thursday.

The first hour consists of playtime learning through social skills and sensory development and fine motor skills learning through art and table top activities. The children will concentrate on fine motor skills during tabletop activities. The three day class is geared more towards primary readiness, whereas the two day helps to prepare them to attend the three day class the following year. Once a week both classes have gym time which concentrates on gross motor skills, and also a music and movement class once a week. During the final hour each class has snack and circle where children will learn through games, songs and stories. There are also progress reports done on your child twice a year. You will be informed in advance if there are changes in routine or special events planned, such as a Christmas concert, Mother's Day tea, Graduation and the end of the year party.
